Breathless News

United By Pop: We sat down with Jennifer to talk about the inspirations behind Breathless and why it’s her most personal book to date.

The Hollywood Reporter: Author Jennifer Niven is ready to dive into the young adult genre once again with her new book Breathless, set to release Oct. 6, announced Alfred A. Knopf Books for Young Readers on Tuesday.

Her: “This book, it's really personal to me as like, my 18 year old self — but it's also very personal to me as my adult self," Jennifer Niven admitted of her new novel, Breathless.

The Ludic Reader: Jennifer Niven’s novel ‘Breathless’ took me back, way back, to a very particular time in my life.

Female First: “My latest YA novel, Breathless, is the book I needed when I was eighteen. A very personal take on sex, love, friendship, first times, redefining yourself after the floor has been pulled out from under you, and learning to write your story.”

Wizard Radio: Listen to what James and Jennifer chatted about on Wizard Radio about her new YA book ‘Breathless’.

Tundra Book Group: We asked author Jennifer Niven (All the Bright Places, Holding Up the Universe) for a guest post today and she delivered! Not only did she provide an excellent dream cast for an adaptation of her upcoming novel, Breathless, but she also gave us an inside look at how personal Breathless is to her – and how sometimes art seems to imitate life.

PaperBarkWords: ‘Breathless’ reminds me of one of my all-time favourite Australian YA novels – ‘On the Jellicoe Road’ by Melina Marchetta. Both books have memorable settings and striking characters that we can’t bear to let go.
